Doctors in the Emergency Department of Antrim Area Hospital followed the correct procedures when they treated a man.

Although there were some delays in his treatment, these did not impact on his overall care.

We looked at whether an alleged failure by the Trust to treat a cyst on a patient's chest led to him developing sepsis.  

Although we found some failings, we concluded there was no negative impact on his overall care, which was reasonable and in line with relevant standards. 

Our investigation did not identify any failings after a woman questioned whether the Belfast Trust missed the true cause of her father’s death.
