Maternity patient not given appropriate advice
A Health Trust has apologised after a patient complained about the antenatal care and treatment she received while at the maternity unit of the Ulster Hospital, Dundondald.
Care and treatment of a patient at Kingsbridge Private Hospital
An investigation has found that the overall care and treatment provided by a private hospital to a patient who had a suspected ovarian cyst was appropriate and reasonable. The patient was treated there as a result of a waiting list initiative by the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust.20
Decision on sanction
At a reconvened Adjudication Hearing held yesterday in the Downshire Civic Centre, Downpatrick, the Acting Commissioner, Mr Ian A Gordon OBE, having previously concluded that Councillor Patrick Clarke had breached the Local Government Code of Conduct for Councillors, imposed a sanction on him of disqualification for a period of three years for being, or becoming, a councillor.
