A man believed that staff from his wife’s care home should have consulted with doctors when she contracted Covid-19. We partially upheld the complaint.
The parents of a woman with multiple healthcare needs complained that she should have been cared for in a nursing home rather than a residential home. Our investigation found that the Trust properly assessed the woman’s needs and cared for her appropriately.
The Ombudsman has found that a care home provided a patient with the right level of the drug Quetiapine, and addressed a complainant’s concerns about the diet the patient received in the home.
