Trust’s investigation of safeguarding referral ‘not sufficiently rigorous'

The South Eastern Trust should have obtained more evidence from a care home and others when it investigated an adult safeguarding referral.

Report recommendations

We asked the Trust to apologise to the complainant for the failings in its investigation.  We also asked it to provide him with full details of the incident and the protections it had put in place.
